Job Description
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to lead a project team in rolling out O365 along with migrating core business systems to the cloud. Working as the key member of the infrastructure team, you will play a leading role in the migration of legacy systems to AWS in partnership with a third party consultancy.
Duties include;
- Lead O365 rollout and adoption
- Assist with the cloud migration from data centres to AWS
- 3rd Line BAU when required
- Lead and assist with projects, development and upgrade of IT services to meet business requirements
- Migration from data centres to cloud services (IAAS, PASS, SAAS services)
- Develop, document, make recommendations and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Experience required;
- Successful O365 implementations
- Legacy application cloud migrations
- Preferably AWS or Azure certified
- A good understanding of Azure AD and Office 365 solutions as well as IaaS/PaaS/SaaS technologies
- Have a broad cross-functional infrastructure experience including Microsoft products, Networks, VMWare, security and SQL.
- Experience of technical environments - data centre hosting (Private Cloud), virtualisation (server and desktop), networking, authentication, security and desktop
- Experience of systems integration, systems development and service operation environments.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
