Salary: £90-95K + 35% bonus + 14% pension + 15% SAYE + health & medical insurance + 25 days holiday
 
The Client
Our client is a thriving international FTSE 250 PLC situated in Central London. Based in their prestigious UK HQ, this newly created role requires an exceptional IT Programme Manager who possess the requisite level of communication skills and experience that a blue chip/PLC environment demands.
The Role as IT Programme Manager
Our client requires a strong Programme Manager to lead the creation of a new function within IT Department. Defining the governance and best practices to manage projects across IT, the Programme Manager will work collaboratively with the Applications, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, France IT Team and wider business to provide a best in class approach to project management. This will include estimating, planning, execution, scheduling, cost/budget development, tracking and exceptional communication of all IT projects.
The main delivery duties will be:
  • Manage a portfolio of new and in-flight IT projects
  • Create an IT programme plan, aligning projects across the Group IT functions to support in the delivery of the IT strategy.
  • Define the relevant controls, processes, cadence and communication to deliver consistently successful projects – setting the right standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to simplify and improve project velocity
  • Develop an appropriate approach to change management, ensuring that business impact is minimal and project success is realised.
  • Identifying suitable communication strategies for all levels of stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure all project risks are identified, catalogued and managed robustly
  • Successfully identify and implement a collaborative and simple project management tool that can be utilised across the business.
The IT Programme Manager Candidate
In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on deliveries and process efficiencies and have the ability to work under pressure.
You should ideally possess experience of the following;
  • 5-10 years of successful commercial IT Programme Management experience within a blue-chip/PLC environment
  • Supportive, Collaborative & Motivational Management skills
  • Prince2 or MSP certified
  • Agile/Waterfall experience
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders of varying seniority
  • Has a proven toolkit of PM templates and approaches – the SME of project management
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
