Our client is an award winning & thriving International Plc based in Central London who require an Oracle Developer to manage a number of new and existing projects. Based in their prestigious HQ this exciting opportunity requires candidates from a Plc/Blue-chip background with excellent communication skills.
The role as Oracle Developer
The project at hand relates to a group wide digital transformation to migrate and integrate a number of legacy and cloud based systems.
Duties;
- Advanced Oracle SQL writing and optimisation
- Manage reporting solutions and tools in the data warehouse environment
- Build and manage reports
- Interact with other departments to gather requirements and implement and support solutions
- Create and maintain PL/SQL packages
- Report requirement gathering
- Develop new reports and maintain current reports
- Propose improvements
- Data investigations and problem-solving
- Ensure reports are accurate, timely & meet stakeholders requirements
- Advocate the best practices (testing, documentation & development)
- Be proactive with stakeholder communication and meet their reporting requirement
Experience required as Oracle Developer
In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people management skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on delivery. In addition, you should have the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects. The following technical skills are also required;
- Advanced Oracle (12g and above) SQL writing and optimisation
- Legacy finance application experience highly advantageous
- Creating and maintaining PL/SQL packages
- Experience with dealing with large data volumes
- Qliksense and Apex experience good to have
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts good to have
- Setting up of dashboards and reports for business end users
- Knowledge of Python, Java or Scala is desirable
