The Client
Our client is an award winning & thriving international Plc organisation based in Central London. Located in their prestigious UK HQ this exciting opportunity requires exceptional Business Systems Manager who possess the requisite level of communication skills.

The Role as Business Systems Manager
To manage the IT Applications and Data department, take responsibility over the IT application portfolio, as well as managing projects for new/modified application or data management tools. The role is also responsible for managing one or more business with IT programs, consisting of multiple projects, as well as overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project related work efforts.
 
IT Applications Management
Ensure with the team that the business applications are reliable, consistent, secured and properly managed from a governance perspective.
● Improve and optimise operational performance through appropriate applications and data management.
● Manage related budgets.
● Close cooperation with the IT infrastructure team required to ensure that applications are properly supported by a string and reliable IT infrastructure.
 
IT Business Relationship Management and Liaison
● Work with business colleagues to align technology solutions with business strategies and contribute to the business planning process.
● Contribute to managing the demand side of IT governance and communicate high level business requirements to IT functional groups.
● Analyse and determine operational and financial impact of new technology product and service offerings.
● Propose changes or solutions to products and services for optimal business results.
 
Program Management
● Define new IT programmes.
●Responsible for delivering project contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and which meet the strategic and business requirements.
● Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various business wide project plans.
● Ensure integration of projects and adjust project scope, timing and budgets as needed, based on the needs of our business.
 
IT Project Management
● Manage projects for new/modified application or data management tool.
●Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards which meet business requirements.
● Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues as appropriate.
● Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of our business.
● Coordinate communication with all areas of our business that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
● Ensure projects are appropriately governed in line with corporate policies and good practice.
 
Lead and Manage Team
● Lead and manage the internal team and/or consultants by providing support, direction and guidance to ensure the function is adequately skilled, motivated, developed and correctly resourced to meet our business needs.
●Effective communication and collaboration with the Group IT infrastructure manager to ensure that IT propositions are consistent and aligned.
 
The Business Systems Manager Candidate
● Demonstrable communication, collaboration and people management skills.
● Technical IT skill set/finance/CRM/ERP systems knowledge.
● Self-motivated and proactive with good organisational skills.
● Pragmatic person and highly focused on deliveries and process efficiencies.
● Ability to work under pressure.
● Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
● Proven team management skills, including motivation and development support.
● Track record of successful project management and delivery.
●Adept at stakeholder management and 3rd party supplier development.
● Ability to interface with business users at all levels.
● Handle all recruiting and hiring of upper and of IT business Systems personnel.
 Desirable:
● Experience in the property and/or retail industry.
● Interface with users and staff at all levels.
● Ability to prepare and present documentation to non IT business people.
●Experience of Property Management Systems/finance systems/data warehousing/Big data/Digital IT is highly desirable.
