Position: 2nd/3rd Line Support Analyst (Plc/FTSE250 client)
Location: Reading (remote)
Start date: asap – 4 weeks
Role type: 12 month FTC
Salary: £33-35K, 10% bonus, 14% pension, private health care, 25 days holiday, share plan etc.
 
The Client
Our client is an award winning & thriving international Plc organisation based in Reading who require a 2nd/3rd Line Support Analyst to join a busy and forward thinking IT department to perform key role in assisting internal and external BAU projects.
 
The Role as 2nd/3rd Line Support Analyst
The position as 2nd/3rd Line Support Analyst entails working closely with the Network & Infrastructure engineering team. There is a broad range of works including trouble shooting, project work and BAU. The role requires an energetic, engaging, dynamic and passionate individual with an excellent attention to detail to work on the following projects;
  • - Provide hardware and software maintenance, consultation, and recommendations to evolve the Group IT service offering.
  • - Providing 2nd/3rd line support troubleshooting across diverse technologies including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Azure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MDM, etc.
  • - Monitor and champion the security of all technology, promptly responding to alerts
  • - Monitor capacity and performance of all hosts and services.
  • - High level technical representation on major incidents, coordinating the resolution and root cause analysis with Group IT.
    - Documenting and educating the entire Service Team on resolutions and lessons learned.
  • - Identifying and flagging IT risks across the entire business, taking ownership to ensure they are reported and reviewed.
  • - Supporting and working closely with all services delivered by Group IT including cyber security/infrastructure/programme management/business systems
 
 
Experience required for the role as 2nd/3rd Line Support Analyst
In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people management skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on delivery. You should possess at least 3-5+ years’ experience of 2nd/3rd  Line Support.
Experience required;
  • - The candidate will have strong knowledge in supporting and promoting collaboration services – Cisco Webex/Microsoft Teams
  • - Windows – Domain Management, OS, Exchange and Microsoft365.
  • - Strong technical skills for supporting key areas incl. Windows OS, Exchange, Microsoft 365, OneDrive & SharePoint
  • - Networking – Router, switch and firewall knowledge.
  • - Proactive, taking ownership and accountability of tasks. Can actively identify service improvements and work with the business to implement.
  • - Significant experience of training and developing teams within an operational service delivery or shared services environment.
Desirable experience;
  • - Experience of corporate and retail systems
  • - CCNA or experience with Cisco switches
  • - SolarWinds or equivalent monitoring tools
  • - Microsoft Certifications
  • - Strong knowledge and experience with SCCM
