Start date: asap – 4 weeks
Role type: Permanent
Salary: £60K + Pension (14%) + Bonus (15-20%) + Share save + medical insurance + life assurance
The Client
Our client is an industry leading FTSE250/Plc organisation based in the Central London who require a Cyber Security Analyst to join a dynamic and evolving Cyber Security Team. This is a newly developed role and applicants will need to have the requisite communication skills demanded by a FTSE250 company to enable the development and maintenance of a robust and proactive Cyber Security capability.
The Cyber Security Analyst
You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of information and cyber security activities; working collaboratively with infrastructure, application, and service delivery teams to reduce cyber risk and sustain existing cyber security controls and initiatives.
Responsibilities & Duties;
- - Cyber evaluations and control assessments – aligned to ISO27001 and cyber best practices
- - Monitoring threats and taking preventative measures found during vulnerability scanning & pen testing
- - Working with suppliers to mitigate cyber risks found in third party managed services
- - Supporting IT colleagues and the wider business with the adoption of information and cyber security policies, procedures, and standards across multiple security domains
- - Reviewing and maintaining application criticality ratings and business impact assessments
- - Assisting with the implementation and testing of cyber incident response plans, for scenarios such as ransomware, denial of service, data breach
- - Engineering Linux systems to maintain in-house security solutions such as Nessus
- - Supporting the secure configuration of operational systems and cloud services such as Azure, AWS, and SaaS platforms such as Office365
- - Supporting the maintenance of ITIL compliant application, software, and hardware asset registers
- - Supporting cyber security training and promoting awareness initiatives across the company
The Cyber Security Analyst background
The client is seeking somebody who is dynamic, engaging, has strong supplier/stakeholder management skills, is self-motivated and can work independently. In addition to excellent communication skills (written/verbal), you must have gravitas and be able to demonstrate the following:
- - Previous experience within a similar role – Cyber Security Analyst, Info Sec Admin etc
- - Demonstrable experience assessing security controls and compliance to policy, based on standards such as ISO 27001, CIS
- - Experience in Windows and Linux security engineering and system hardening
- - Experience with secure configuration and analysis of cloud services (Azure, AWS, Office365)
- - Experience with IAM (Identity and Access Management) solutions such as AD, ADFS, MFA, SSO and Azure AD Connect
- - Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP) and packet analysis with tools such as Wireshark, nmap
- - Experience analysing and responding to alerts from security monitoring solutions, such as Nessus, McAfee ePO, Proofpoint, Cisco FirePower, Snort, Manage Engine, Solarwinds, Desktop Central
- - Proven experience of working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, to manage operational and third-party risk
- - Exposure to retail/property/construction across physical locations is highly advantageous
- - Industry certifications such as CISSP, CSX, ISO 27001 LA, LPIC, ITIL or similar are also highly advantageous
