Our client is a thriving international consultancy with a reputation for pioneering digital engineering capabilities encompassing multiple business sectors (Financial Services, Life Sciences, Big Data/AI & Retail) who are seeking to expand their capabilities with an exceptional Pre-Sales Solution Architect with demonstrable delivery experience of next generation cloud solutions. Applicants will possess the requisite level of communication skills and experience that a blue chip/PLC environment demands, ideally from a consultancy background.
The Role as Pre-Sales Solution Architect
Our client is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect for existing and greenfield projects in multiple sectors aimed at assisting their high profile clients transition from traditional software development/Legacy systems to digitally engineered cloud solutions. Utilising a unique approach to software modernisation, the client delivers services aimed at building and running applications in such a way that fully exploits the advantages of the integrated Agile-DevOps-Cloud delivery model.
The main delivery duties will be to:
- Forge relationships with Technology C-Suite decision makers withinclient organisations
- Map client organization, build extraordinary relationships with new business units, build a sales strategy for developing new business opportunities
- Run end-to-end lead generation, sales and RFI/RFP processes
- Drive revenue by scoping, structuring, and leading digital engagements
- Work closely with the BU Leadership Team to define and drive the CP transformation strategy and service offering
- Own and deliver on revenue, margin, pipeline, receivables and customer satisfaction targets
- Envision and create new opportunities within existing and new businesses
- Lead financial and contract terms, negotiation, and outsourcing discussions
- Handle risks and issues related to the Account, including delivery oversight
- Develop and execute Account Growth strategy and business plans
- Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities.
- Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets
- Work in a Matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals designed
- Experience in demand fulfillment, collaborating with HR/Ops, Offshore Teams
In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on deliverables and have the ability to work under pressure.
You should ideally possess experience of the following;
- Previous Pre-Sales Solution Architect experience in account directing digital engineering projects with responsibility of growing accounts in excess of 10-20% YoY on a base of £5-£10 Million
- Deep understanding and ability to talk convincingly through ideas cantered around modern digital enterprises such as product centric org structures, pod based delivery model, TDD/BDD, deep understanding of DevOps, Scaled agile (Safe 4.0 or above), microservices, containerization, serverless, hybrid hosting patterns such as private, public cloud (Azure/AWS), PaaS (OpenShift, Cloud Foundry)
- Prior experience forging relationships at Director, VP, and CXO levels
- High degree of comfort and ability to talk through approach to perform app portfolio analysis, identify candidates for cloud native journey: re-host, re-platform, re-architect etc.
- Ability to lead level-1 client workshop using domain driven design techniques
- Proven and strong skills with ability to formulate conceptual solutions including design and technology to business problems.
- Proven results in consultative selling approach
- Experience in understanding client requirements and mapping to client service offerings
- Proven leadership qualities with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong oral and written and interpersonal skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills
