Our client is an Industry Leading Plc organisation based in Central London who require an Agile Delivery Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills required by a FTSE100 Company.
The Role as Tech Agile Delivery Lead
The position as Tech Agile Delivery Lead entails working in the ranks of several growing and passionate in-house development teams. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, organizing, growing and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering products.
Duties;
- Run and continuously improve cross-functional agile scrum teams delivering products across multiple areas of the business concurrently to our customers
- Resolve both day-to-day blockers and more complex problems
- Coach a maturing agile competency in the art and science of smooth, value-focused velocity, delivering outcomes that meet the needs of our customers
- Manage several, concurrent, high visibility backlogs using agile methods – occasionally crossing between multiple business units and customer groups
- Guiding agile teams and wider department on how to use product / Agile practices and
- Guiding our agile team on how to implement and evolve Agile practices, such as self-organisation, pairing, CICD, automated testing
- Assessing the maturity of the team and department and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the team and with customers of mixed technical aptitude
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people management skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on delivery. In addition, you should have the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects. The following technical skills are also required;
- Scrum Alliance Certified Product Owner/Scrum Master or similar IT accreditation
- Proven ability to lead, build and evolve both Agile and Waterfall teams
- Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management and the board
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall practices and principles
